The university offers specialized programs in Information Security and Digital Forensics, it complements my background in computer science which align perfectly with my career interests and aspirations. The comprehensive curriculum covers essential areas such as cognitive computing, cybersecurity, and data privacy, providing me with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in my field.

NU also offers a supportive and inclusive community, fostering an environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. The university’s commitment to student success and well-being played a significant role in my decision to enroll. The proximity to major tech hubs and industries also presents excellent networking and career opportunities.

I want to Contribute to the academic and research community by publishing papers, participating in conferences, and possibly teaching future generations of cybersecurity professionals.

I hope to Secure a position as a cybersecurity analyst , specialist or digital forensics investigator in a reputable organization, where I can protect critical information systems, prevent cyber attacks and provide crucial insights into security breaches. Eventually, I may move into consultancy and advisory roles, assisting organizations in developing robust cybersecurity strategies and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

My most memorable and impactful moment at Niagara University occurred at the Halt the Hack Event. The ‘Halt the Hack Cyber Security Hackathon’ in November 2023, a competition that was hosted by Ontario’s Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence in partnership with the Government of Ontario’s Cyber Security Division and the City of Toronto. The competition required students to address a real-life scenario involving a learning system with network issues.

My team was tasked to identify possible attacks or threats on the system and to provide recommendations to resolve the problems. My team was one of five teams to advance to the finals. My experience and skills gained at NUO helped me to assist my team achieve second-place in the competition.. The exercise was designed to simulate a real-world cyber attack, and it was both challenging and exhilarating. I was able to build networks and connect with people. It was a memorable, amazing, interesting and impactful event.

Niagara University’s Vision of instilling and developing compassion, excellence, humility, and “the development of the individual” are core values that I share in respect to my furthering development and education as a student at NUO. My goal is to serve my community, and the virtues that can be granted from a university of this reputable caliber is indeed excellent to say the least.

My career aspirations in choosing the BPS (Bachelor of Professional Studies) program are to help to support, inspire, and uplift students as an elementary teacher for the Catholic board. My objectives will be met with Niagara University because of the university’s earnest efforts to support students and their academic needs. I believe that with my own diligent efforts in my studies, paired with the opportunity with working at Niagara towards my career goals and aspirations, my objectives will be achieved with success!

My most memorable moments at NUO so far were the first-hand experiences of in-person orientation and my very first day beginning my program.

My career aspiration is to become a Healthcare Manager, improving healthcare delivery systems and patient care. The MBA in Healthcare Management at Niagara University will equip me with the knowledge, skills and practical knowledge necessary to achieve my goal.

My most memorable day at Niagara University was my orientation. Adding to the excitement, we participated in various snow activities like snow tubing, which brought us closer as a group and made the day even more unforgettable.
