Newcomer students at Niagara University in Ontario experienced the power of Niagara Falls during a daylong excursion within Niagara Parks. The 11 students, accompanied by peer navigators Oluwafunmilola Adepegba, Stephanie Umeokeke, and Onyekachukwu Patrick Ojemaye, enjoyed activities including a White Water Walk, Niagara’s Fury, and Journey Behind the Falls. The event, which took place on July 27, 2024, was the third and final in the 2024 series of Urban Excursions offered by NUO.
“Urban Excursion events offer students an engaging way to explore and experience Canada’s cultural, historical, and social landscapes,” said LeChelle Saunders, manager of student services and international student advising. “These events promote community building by fostering connections among students, enhancing their sense of belonging within our community.”
