I will get the opportunity to learn about the field of healthcare sector in Canada through my experience journey from NUO.

One of my most impactful moments at Niagara University has been serving as a Peer Advisor for international graduate students. Through this role, I have had the privilege of helping the students to navigate their academic and professional paths while also creating lasting connections. From guiding them through career resources to providing support during orientation, I have learned the importance of building strong networks and fostering a sense of belonging. Ihechi

Ihechi Egbuzie (he/him)

Master of Business Administration, Strategic Management
Home Country: Nigeria
Hobbies:When I’m not studying, I’m a full-on nerd. Gaming and anime are my go-to hobbies, and no matter how busy life gets, I always make time for them. I’ve been an anime fan long before it became mainstream. I also play competitive games regularly. Lately, I’ve been hooked on Marvel Rivals. One of my recent proud moments was building my first PC from scratch. Outside of screen time, I also make fitness a priority and hit the gym regularly to stay active and clear my mind.

Learn More about Ihechi’s Journey:

I chose to study my MBA at Niagara University because it offers the right mix of academic quality, career growth opportunities, and practical flexibility. With both U.S. and Canadian accreditation, I felt confident that the degree would be recognized and respected on an international level. The program is also PGWP-eligible, which was important for me as I plan to gain professional experience in Canada after graduation.

As someone with a background in construction project management, I wanted a business program that would not only expand my leadership and strategic thinking skills but also position me for long-term career growth. Niagara University stood out with its AACSB-accredited curriculum, small class sizes, and a strong focus on experiential learning. Living fairly close to the campus in Vaughan also made it convenient for me to balance school with other responsibilities.

Overall, Niagara’s MBA program aligns perfectly with my professional goals and personal situation, giving me the foundation I need to advance in my career.

My goal is to grow into a leadership role in the construction and real estate industry, and eventually manage large projects or even start my own business. I already have a background in architecture and project management, but I realized I needed stronger business skills to move forward in my career.

Niagara University’s MBA program is helping me build those skills—especially in areas like strategy, finance, and leadership. The program is practical, flexible, and recognized in both the U.S. and Canada, which gives me more career options. It’s also helping me build a strong professional network and giving me the tools I need to grow and succeed in the future.

My most impactful moment at Niagara University was participating in the 360° Kids Foundation fundraising event. We built temporary shelters and spent the night outside in the winter, only to be torn down hours later. That experience really opened my eyes to the reality of homelessness and the challenges some people face in this country every day.

Most memorable moment was listening LeChelle talk about the technical differences between the Ant-king taking out the number 1 Japanese hunter the solo leveling anime vs the manhwa.
