You can apply with unofficial documents and we encourage you to do so. These should be scanned and uploaded to the system along with your application.
When uploading transcripts, scan both sides so that the grading scale is included.
Please ensure all information on scanned documents is clear and legible.
You will be required to submit official copies of your documents including: official transcripts, GMAT/GRE test scores, English proficiency test results (if applicable), WES , TEC or CES certification (if applicable) if you are admitted to the program. Yes. Niagara University accepts 4-year honours degrees from Ontario colleges. Please note, however, that students who have graduated from an Ontario college, must have successfully completed a 4-year honours degree program. Students with 3-year advanced diplomas, and 2-year diplomas, are not eligible for our graduate programs.
In keeping with Niagara University’s mission, the MBA program recognizes that applicants who earned an undergraduate GPA below the required 3.0 may have since gained significant professional experience or industry certifications that demonstrate their potential for success in graduate business studies. Therefore, we encourage individuals in this situation to apply.

For applicants who have been our of school for a significant period of time, we recommend that you provide two professional references. These should include individuals to whom you have directly reported. For those who have recently been in other educational programs, it is possible to provide one academic and one professional reference.
During the application phase you will add the names and contact information of your references. These individuals will be sent a link to the reference form which they will complete and submit.

Niagara University is a Designated Learning Institution, which means that we are able to admit international students. The university’s DLI number is O268049601572. We currently accept international students in all of our programs except the Bachelor of Professional Studies in Education and the Master of Science in Educational Leadership.
Official credential evaluation of all undergraduate transcripts. Copies or emails for any test score or credential evaluation will not be accepted. For international a WES , TEC or CES evaluation is required along with your application.
Evidence of English Language Proficiency through official TOEFL or IELTS scores sent directly from the testing service. In order to be eligible for acceptance into the program, applicants must provide evidence of having achieved a score equal to or greater than the minimum identified below on one of the following tests. *Language requirements may be considered to be met if you have completed education in a country where English is an official language, or if English was the language of instruction for your degree.
Program Questions
Our programs are delivered in a hybrid format incorporating the best of online and in-person learning strategies. Typically, classes are constructed with up to a maximum of 40% of the content delivered online.
It typically takes 2 years to complete the program. There are full time, full time accelerated and part time options available. Students have up to 6 years to complete the program. Accelerated and elongated options can be discussed on a personalized basis.
- Full time: 4-semesters (2 years), taking 3 courses per semester
- Full time Accelerated: 3-semesters (1.5 years) taking 4 courses per semester
- Part time: 6-semesters (3 years), taking 2 courses per semester
Answer: Class sizes are up to 25 students. Our smaller class sizes create a richer learning environment for our students.
Our classes are held in the evenings after 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in our state-of-the-art Vaughan facility. While Saturday sessions are primarily for MBA courses, some other courses are also scheduled at that time. Our programs are designed for working professionals.
Testing Requirement Questions
The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is a standardized four-part entrance exam, consisting of a:
- Quantitative section,
- Verbal section,
- Integrated Reasoning section,
- Analytical Writing Assessment.
The Graduate Records Examination (GRE) is a standardized three-part entrance exam, consisting of:
- Quantitative Reasoning
- Verbal Reasoning
- Analytical Writing
These tests are used as reliable measures of the skills required for graduate level studies and as predictors of student performance in graduate programs.

Applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (equivalent to a B+) in their undergraduate or graduate program may be eligible to request a waiver of the GMAT/GRE requirement.
Yes. However, we will require that these are submitted prior to your application being reviewed for acceptance.
Financial Assistance Questions
There is an OSAP Aid Estimator, but it is in no way a guarantee of what OSAP applicants will receive, and typically overestimates funding, as no financial background check is involved that occurs during the actual OSAP application process.
For OSAP purposes, 2 courses per semester is considered full-time, and 1 course per semester is considered part-time.
